2027 (Hinoto-hitsuji, Yin Fire Goat) in Sanmeigaku
The eto of 2027 is Hinoto-hitsuji (丁未), the Yin Fire Goat. In Sanmeigaku the year changes at Risshun, so the fortune of 2027 runs from February 4, 2027 (Risshun) to February 3, 2028.

Hinoto (丁) is yin Fire, likened to the flame of a lamp, and the Goat (未) is the Earth of late summer. It is a combination that holds its heat inside while shaping things towards the harvest. You can read it as a flow in which what spread out in 2026, Hinoe-uma, the strong yang Fire Horse, is calmly finished off in 2027.
1.How to find your stars for the year
Your stars for a year come from your day stem (the heavenly stem of your day pillar) and the eto of that year.
- Main star (one of the ten main stars): your day stem × the year’s stem (丁 for 2027). The theme of your year.
- Subordinate star (one of the twelve subordinate stars): your day stem × the year’s branch (未 for 2027). How your energy comes out.

3.A Horse–Goat void: the “second year”
If your day pillar is Kinoe-saru, Kinoto-tori, Hinoe-inu, Hinoto-i, Tsuchinoe-ne, Tsuchinoto-ushi, Kanoe-tora, Kanoto-u, Mizunoe-tatsu or Mizunoto-mi, your void (tenchūsatsu) is Horse–Goat. The two years 2026 (Horse) and 2027 (Goat) are your void years.
2027 is the second of them. It helps to think of it as the year to deal with the aftermath of the changes of the first year and to finish your review.
- If you can, leave big new starts (going independent, a big purchase, a new home) until after Risshun 2028.
- There is no need to force a stop to plans already fixed or things you have kept up.
- Put your health and relationships first, and book in rest before anything else.

4.When 2027 begins and ends
Sanmeigaku’s 2027 begins at Risshun on February 4, 2027 and ends at Setsubun on February 3, 2028. Note that people born between January 1 and Risshun (around February 4) are read as born in the previous year (2026, Hinoe-uma).
