Upright meaning
One last push. Stay alert and you can hold out.
A bandaged man leans on a wand, eyeing the eight wands standing behind him like a fence. He has been through battles and is wary of more. Upright, the Nine of Wands asks for resilience: you are close to the end, and you have the strength to finish. Stay alert, protect your boundaries and don’t give up now.
Reversed meaning
Tiredness has built up and you’re growing suspicious. Rest is a strategy too.
Reversed, endurance turns into exhaustion or paranoia. You may be running on empty, refusing help or expecting attack everywhere. Rest, accept support and ask whether the fight is still necessary.

- What past hurt makes me wary now?
- Who could share this load?
