乙丑 (Kinoto-ushi): the Yin Wood Ox

1.What 乙丑 means

乙丑 combines the heavenly stem 乙 (Kinoto) with the earthly branch 丑 (Ushi). 乙 is likened to grasses and flowers, and 丑 to the ox.

The stem on top (Wood) restrains the branch below (Earth), a controlling pairing. The power to take charge and keep things under control shows strongly.
