1.Shatabhisha in Indian astrology
The hundred healers. Strongly independent, with a talent for mysteries and medicine.
Shatabhisha is linked to Varuna, god of water and cosmic order, and in the Vimshottari dasha system it is ruled by Rahu. People born with the Moon in this nakshatra are said to spend the first part of their life in a Rahu period.
2.Kishuku in Japanese Shukuyō astrology
Sociable with good taste; your moods may change a lot.
Shukuyō astrology finds your mansion from your birthday in the old lunisolar calendar, so it does not always match the nakshatra found from the Moon’s actual position. How Shukuyō astrology works →
3.Good and difficult partners for Kishuku
In Shukuyō astrology, your relationship with someone depends on how many mansions theirs is from yours. This is called sanku no hihō, “the secret of three nines”: the 27 mansions are split into three groups of nine (near, middle and far), and read as life, karma and womb, plus the pairs prosperity–intimacy, friendship–decline, ease–destruction and danger–achievement. The nearer the distance, the stronger the effect.
| Relation | Partner’s mansion | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Mei (life) | Kishuku | The same mansion: “another you” with similar values. You understand each other deeply, but share the same faults. |
| Ei (prosperity) | Shisshuku (near), Seishuku (middle), Teishuku (far) | This person brings you prosperity: one of the best relationships, helpful in both work and love. |
| Shin (intimacy) | Shishuku (near), Kakushuku (middle), Kyoshuku (far) | Bound by warmth and trust: one of the best relationships, long and stable. |
| Yū (friendship) | Hisshuku (near), Shinshuku (middle), Joshuku (far) | Easy-going friends on an equal footing: a good relationship. |
| Sui (decline) | Hekishuku (near), Kishuku (middle), Bōshuku (far) | A calm relationship in which you often support the other person. |
| Gō (karma) | Shinshuku (middle) | A bond said to come from a past life. You learn a lot from this person and are guided by them. |
| Tai (womb) | Kōshuku (far) | A bond said to lead into the next life. You guide and nurture this person. |
| Sei (achievement) | Ishuku (near), Chōshuku (middle), Kishuku (far) | You stimulate each other and get things done: a good working partnership. |
| Ki (danger) | Rōshuku (near), Seishuku (middle), Bishuku (far) | You notice each other but often miss each other. Keeping some distance helps. |
| An (ease) | Keishuku (near), Ryūshuku (middle), Shinshuku (far) | You easily take the lead. The stimulus is strong and you attract each other in love, but it can break easily. |
| Kai (destruction) | Bōshuku (near), Yokushuku (middle), Toshuku (far) | You are strongly influenced by this person. You may feel a fateful pull, but they can push you around. |
In general, prosperity and intimacy are the best relations, friendship and decline are good, danger and achievement are middling, and ease and destruction are intense ones to handle with care. These are differences in character rather than good or bad luck, though: even a “difficult” pair can grow a great deal by understanding each other. Schools differ on which way each relation flows and on how much distance matters.
